I am thrilled to share with everyone that my photography project, Mythic Echoes, has been shortlisted for this year’s exhibition program at the prestigious Athens Photo Festival 2024 in Greece. This marks a significant milestone as we await the final selection announcement on April 22nd. Mythic Echoes delves deep into the heart of Greek mythology, capturing the essence and spirit of places immortalized in ancient tales. This project has been my passion and pursuit for nearly 8 years, taking me across the vast and varied landscapes of Europe in an endeavor to bring these mythological echoes to life through the lens of modern photography.
The possibility of showcasing these works in Athens, a city steeped in history and mythology, is not only an honor but a fitting tribute to the journey and efforts invested in this project. The prospect of sharing these visual narratives in the capital of Greece, where many of these myths were born and have thrived, brings an indescribable sense of fulfillment and excitement. As we anticipate the final selection, I am filled with gratitude for the pre-selection of Mythic Echoes and hopeful for the opportunity to present this labor of love in such a historically rich setting. This potential inclusion in the Athens Photo Festival 2024 would serve as a remarkable conclusion to this incredible journey, celebrating the fusion of history, mythology, and photography.
